PPES Mission Statement

Pinnacle Peak Elementary is committed to achieving high academic standards and a lifelong love or learning. Through a partnership between school, family, and community, students will maximize their potential using the Core Knowledge sequence and state and district standards. As a diverse community of learners, we will encourage a cooperative and collaborative effort to maintain a safe, healthy and respectful learning environment.

PPES PTO Mission Statement

PPES PTO strives to enrich each student's educational experience while providing support to the teachers, administration and staff. We encourage a unified relationship between home and school, and support ways that strengthen the parent/teacher partnership in the education of students so each student may achieve their highest potential.

What is a PTO? What is a PTA?

Both PTO's and PTA's are established to benefit the children within the school system. However, the primary difference between a PTO and a PTA is that a PTA is part of a larger state and national organization. As such, they are required to pay dues and abide by state and national group rules and in return they receive benefits from this organization such as having a political voice for all children. The dues collected by the state and national PTA organization are used at a much broader level and are not used specifically for our local school.

We are independent from this state and national organization so that all dollars collected from our fundraising efforts go directly into programs utilized by the Pinnacle Peak Elementary School.
