Kindergarten Round-Up at PPES
Registration begins Tuesday, January 17th at PPES. Download registration forms from the district website and complete before coming in to register a new student. This year's Candyland theme is sure to be sweet!
This is a free event hosted by PTO and sponsored by Adaptive Force Performing Arts Center in Scottsdale. Dorian Studio Photography will be taking 5x7 portraits at the dance ($5 per photo). We are looking for volunteers to help with dance setup from 9-11am and/or 12:45-2:45pm. Please contact Robyn Swerlyk if you can help out! robyn@nssandl.com

Season of Giving - Thank you!
A special thank you to all our PPES families for helping make the PPES Season of Giving a great success! On Thursday, Dec. 15th, a U-Haul packed full of canned foods, clothing, linens and gifts arrived at Arrowhead Elementary School. Members of PPES PTO and PPES Student Council were greeted by the school's social worker, staff members and numerous students. Arrowhead's Student Council students worked alongside the Student Council Officers from PPES to unload all the items. Your donations filled the food pantry at Arrowhead as well as filled a room full of donations of clothing, shoes, blankets and other linens. Families at Arrowhead quickly heard about the donations and came in the next day to find things for their families.
The Giving Tree was a huge success as well. We would like to thank all who helped brighten the holidays for 40 plus children from Arrowhead Elementary. Many of you supplied gifts for a child or purchased gift cards for gas, Frys, Target or Walmart. Others helped with making ornaments and decorating the tree or wrapping all of the many, many gifts and delivering them to the school. It is a great thing to have Pinnacle Peak Elementary give back so much to another school in our district that isn't as fortunate as we are. Again, thank you for your generosity! We are looking forward to doing it again next year.
